General Information

 

To ensure you achieve maximum enjoyment from your Yoga session, please read the FAQs below.

What to wear:

Please wear something comfortable: Gym kit or similar is ideal. Avoid loose clothing that may restrict your vision when bending forward.

 

What to bring:

Yoga Mat  (if you have one)

Bottle of water

Hair band/ clips

Jumper or Blanket (for relaxation at the end of class)

Medication (eg Inhaler if Asthmatic)

 

If you would like to purchase your own Mat, Joanna may have some available to purchase. Please ask for stock availability. (Joanna has a wholesale account with Yoga Matters.) 

 

How to prepare:

It is advisable not to eat a heavy meal before attending class.

As a guideline, allow 2hrs after a light snack, or 4hrs after a heavy meal. Drink plenty of water, come hydrated! 

 

Punctuality: 

Please aim to arrive 10mins before the class is due to start, allowing sufficient time to:

1) Park

2) Remove shoes and socks

3) Turn off your phone

4) Roll out a mat

The class will start promptly at the specified time.

Joanna teaches at a variety of venues.

Access the car park from Weston High Street just before the mini roundabout. There is ample Free parking avilable.

Access the class via the Church's Main Enterance. 

Apthorp Centre, Weston Lane, Bath, BA1 2XT

Upon arrival at the Apthorp Centre (located between the Bath Priory and Snapdragons Nursery), ring the doorbell.

A receptionist will buzz you into the centre and direct you to the Yoga Studio. Limited parking, use surrounding roads if possible.

Oldfield School (Dance Studio), Kelston Road, Bath, BA1 9AB

Access the car park via the main enterance on Kelston Road. 
There is ample free parking. The dance studio is located towards the top right hand corner of the main car park, beyond the bike shelter.

 

Tell your Teacher about any injuries:

If you have an injury or illness, there may be some yoga poses that need to be modified or avoided. Please seek advice from your instructor before the class starts. It is your responsibility to notify the teacher of any injuries (new or ongoing) before every class. Yoga can sometimes be challenging, but should NEVER be painful. Always work to your own ability and respect the limitations of your body.

 

Complete a Consultation form:

In the interest of health and safety, all students are required to complete a consultation form before attending their first class.
